The Greencards

One of my all time favorites, hands down. The Greencards did not disappoint. Originally from Australia, they now live in Nashville, TN and  made the 7 hour trek to Greenwood last night. We could not have been more thrilled. I have been listening to their albums all week in preparation for the show but seeing them live is an incredible experience. This foursome is the total package. Check out their website at In exchange for your email adress, there is a free link to download one of my favorite songs they played last night, called “Make it Out West”.  We loved having these guys here and even got to photograph them with our 100 year old 8×10 camera! I can’t wait to see how that film turns out. They made the perfect conclusion to this season’s Music on Maxwell series and although I think it would be extremely hard to compare to the Greencards, we expect to have an equally awesome lineup for our 5 concert series starting this fall. So stay tuned!

The Spring Standards

Last week, as part of our Music on Maxwell Concert series, we were stoked to have the amazing talent from New York known as The Spring Standards. I have to admit that I was a little skeptical by nature at first but was absolutely blown away. They were probably one of the best bands we have ever had through here. Simply Epic. Not only are they mind-boggling musicians but they are super nice too! So trust me, you want to look them up. And don’t forget about our next show featuring the Greencards. This band is from Nashville and no less talented. They have a wonderful kind of folksy bluegrass sound. So mark your calendars for the 15th. You won’t regret it!
